SMS Phishing (SMiShing)
Fraudsters may send text messages with a link claiming you need to "complete a payment" or "update details."
The Rule: EasyPark never sends payment links or requests sensitive information via SMS to private customers.
The Action: If you receive an SMS with a link, do not click it. Always use the official EasyPark app for any management.
Email Phishing
Similarly, scammers may send emails reporting "pending payments" or account issues.
The Rule: EasyPark never sends emails to private customers to notify them of unpaid debts via external links.
Exception: In specific cases regarding direct debits, our official billing partner may contact you, but this is always done through legitimate, verified channels.
What should I do if I clicked a suspicious link?
If you have interacted with a suspicious message or entered your details on a fake website:
Contact your bank immediately: This is the most important step. They can freeze your cards and help protect your funds.
Change your passwords: If you entered login credentials, update your EasyPark password and any other accounts that use the same one.
How do I check for real pending payments?
If you truly have an outstanding balance, we will notify you via SMS or email, but we will always direct you to the official app to settle it.
The Safe Way: Open your EasyPark app. If there is a payment issue, a clear notification will appear on the main screen or in the "Payments" section, allowing you to update your card securely within our protected environment.
Stay Alert: When in doubt, ignore the message and open the app. If the app doesn't show an alert, the message you received was definitely a scam.
